As I write, it's still an hour or so until we will receive news about this mornings scan but two things have occurred to me this afternoon whilst watching the news. Firstly, in the pictures shown of him training and kicking the ball he has been running flat footed, usually when you do short sprints you push off from your toes, also his kicking has been using the top part of his foot not the instep or the lower front part of his boot.

Secondly, and we'll know later whether or not I'm talking rubbish here, I believe that Manchester United will insist he takes no part at all until the Quarter Finals at the earliest.
